HOURS:  Monday-Thursday 9:00am - 9:00pm | Friday-Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm | Sunday 12:00pm - 5:00pm

Reddick Public Library District provides 4 study rooms for individual quiet study and for small groups to work together without disturbing other library users. The library's User Conduct Policy is posted in each study room. Users are expected to follow these behavior standards. Failure to abide by library policies may result in denial of future use of study rooms.

Agreement

  • Study rooms are available for all ages. Individuals or groups under the age of 10 must have adult supervision.
  • The room is not available for persons operating a business or selling merchandise or services, except for tutors who are compensated for academic tutoring.
  • A valid Reddick Library card or reciprocal library card is required. Alternatively, a non-resident must present a valid photo ID. Users will check in at the circulation desk upon arrival and before departure.
  • A study room can be reserved up to 2 business days in advance on a first come, first served basis. Study room capacity is 4.
  • A time slot is 2 hours in length. A patron may request the time be extended if the room is available. A limit of 3 hours per day will be enforced.
  • A reservation will be cancelled within 15 minutes of a no-show. Repeated unused reservations may result in denial of study room use.
  • Study rooms are available for use when the library opens and continue until 15 minutes before closing.
  • The library reserves the right to request that an individual or group change an approved reservation to another date when a study room is necessary for a library-sponsored activity. Appropriate notice will be given to the contact person.
  • In the event of an emergency closing of the library, all study room reservations are automatically cancelled. Library staff will attempt to inform the contact person of the closing. Study room users may also call the library or visit the library web site for closing announcements.

Guidelines

  • Study rooms may not be used for recreational use or purely social gatherings.
  • No food or open beverages are allowed in study rooms.
  • Personal articles in the study rooms are the responsibility of the user.
  • The study room must be left in a clean and orderly condition. Failure to leave the room in its original condition may result in a cleaning fee.
  • The individual who secures the study room is accountable for the actions of guests and for adherence to all guidelines set forth in this policy and other applicable library policies.
  • Failure to comply with the above guidelines will result in the loss of study room privileges.
